Since 1992, Hrair Hawk Khatcherian has been capturing the timeless images of Artsakh (Mountainous Karabakh), which he shares with readers in this book. His journey began in 1988 with his involvement in various Armenian diaspora activities related to the Karabakh Movement.

Driven by curiosity, he traveled to Artsakh regularly from 1992 through 2020, including the years when the first conflict began. These travels to his ancestral lands allowed him to explore its history, focusing on its culture, its people, its nature, and the sacred mountains of the region. This book is a return to origins and a series of enriching journeys, showcasing stunning photographs in both black and white and color. These images convey everything that needs to be said, offering a means to keep the Artsakh region with us for eternity.
